One Direction shows a decidedly more mature side on "Story of My Life" — the second single off the upcoming album Midnight Memories.

Is it me, or did One Direction just release an album?

Oops, no. That wasn't an album. That was just their movie This Is Us.

Evidently, One Direction hasn't actually released a new album in almost a year, so Midnight Memories, due out Nov. 25, is coming at just the right time. And to get everyone excited, the guys tweeted the track list for the new album.

The first single off their third studio album in as many years was, of course, "Best Song Ever," which is featured in the trailer for This is Us. However, their new song, "Story of My Life," is about as different from "Best Song Ever" as it could be.

Whereas "Best Song Ever" is flashy, showy, goofy and fun, "Story of My Life" takes a decidedly different turn. Reminiscent of Mumford and Sons' folksy Americana sound, 1D's "Story of My Life" is acoustic and real, with a driving rhythm that kicks in at the chorus.

The lyrics of the two songs show the contrast as well. While "Best Song Ever" goes "Whoah oh oh. I think it went yeah yeah yeah. Think it goes... WOO," "Story of My Life" is lyrically much more mature.

"Written in these walls are the stories that I can't explain
I leave my heart open but it stays right here empty for days
She told me in the morning she don't feel the same about us in her bones
It seems to me that when I die, these words will be written on my stone."

With these two very different songs, it's tough to know what exactly to expect from this third album. Will it be a new, more mature 1D? We will see when Midnight Memories is released on Nov. 25.
