Tom Cruise takes daughter Suri to bungee jumping center
Tom Cruise treated his daughter Suri to an outing that was a little different than that of most 7-year-old girls — a visit to a bungee jumping center.
It appears that fearless behavior has extended to his daughter, Suri, because Cruise recently took her to a bungee jumping center.
The actor decided to take his 7-year-old daughter Suri for a day of fun at The Boots and Birdies center in Lake Placid, New York — a miniature golf and bungee jumping center on Saranac Avenue.
The center was closed down for the day to allow the high-profile guests some privacy while they enjoyed their outing.
The owner of Boots and Birdies, Terry Nichols, told the Adirondack Daily Enterprise that Cruise "showed up with his daughter Suri, three of her friends, some of his friends and security guards — 10 people in all."
Nichols also mentioned how impressed Cruise was with the small Lake Placid village, which only has a population of 2,500.
Nichols said, "They said they liked Lake Placid because of the quietness and lack of paparazzi, and they said they would return."
We're sure some paps will be lying in wait now for the Cruises to return, although, they won't be relocating to Lake Placid permanently since it is rumored that Cruise has his sights set on Europe.
A source told the U.S. edition of OK! magazine, ''Tom has been planning to set up base in Europe for about four years and he is finally ready to make it happen. He is utterly charmed by London and wants to get a place in Notting Hill or St John's Wood."
''Tom is happy because he thinks putting down roots in London will allow him to take Suri for longer stretches of time. ''He is just trying to do something nice for Suri."
"She has been grounded in the United States for a long time and Tom wants to make sure she gets to experience life fully and know other cultures. He doesn't want her to grow up to be a narrow-minded person who's afraid to use her passport.''
Regardless of where the Top Gun actor may decide to move, it's nice to know that father and daughter have been enjoying some quality time together.
A local man, Scotty Marshall, told the Adirondack Daily Enterprise of their day out, saying, "The kids seemed to have a wonderful time,'' adding Tom was ''friendly but quiet... videotaping his daughter."
Marshall also said, "And his daughter is so cute. She looks just like she does in the tabloids."
So, she's not a brat like that nasty photographer suggested earlier this year then!
