Big news for actors Emily Blunt and John Krasinski! The couple announced they’re expecting their first child.

Blunt and Krasinski were married in 2010 in Italy, and have been caught quite a few times talking about their love of children.

“We want to have children; I just don’t know when yet,” Blunt told Manhattan magazine in 2012. “I’m just not sure about the timing of all of that. We’re both from big families, so I think it’s something we want.”

A source told Us Weekly that the timing of the pregnancy is no accident, and the couple has been planning to start a family for a while.

“They both want kids, it’s one of the reasons they got a bigger place, in a neighborhood that you can raise a family,” the source said. “They both couldn’t be more excited.”

Krasinski’s show The Office just ended, and he’s been working on new projects, including Promised Land with Matt Damon.

“We actually wrote with children climbing all over him,” Krasinski said of his experience writing the movie with Damon, “and he was doing bath time and dinner and everything, and we still got it done.”

Though the couple has always been on the same page about children, they were making sure to enjoy their time as a childless couple before the exciting news. In her 2012 interview, Blunt told Manhattan that marriage has been “an effing blast. It’s just great, and I’m so happy.” Krasinski obviously feels the same about his “incredible” wife.

Despite a baby on the way, both actors have multiple upcoming projects on their plate.

Blunt and Krasinski have not yet announced a due date, but Blunt’s rep told Us Weekly the baby would be here within a few months.

Congrats to the happy couple!
