Princess Madeleine of Sweden is pregnant!
The royal baby watch can start anew. Swedish Princess Madeleine and her husband Christopher O'Neill are expecting...
It is most certainly an interesting week for the royals!
We first brought you the news that Pippa Middleton may secretly be engaged to her beau, Nico Jackson, and now we have the wonderful news that Princess Madeleine is expecting her first child with husband Christopher O'Neill.
Not long after the birth of the British Prince George, we can happily continue the royal baby watch with the news that Sweden's princess is pregnant!
The princess is the youngest of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia and the younger sister of Crown Princess Victoria.
Madeleine is fourth in line to the throne — after her older sister Victoria, Victoria's 1-year-old daughter, Princess Estelle and Prince Carl Philip.
The Swedish princess married her New York banker beau earlier this year in a fairy tale wedding that took place at the Royal Palace Church in Stockholm on June 8. The couple live in New York, where the "party princess" works closely with the World Childhood Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by her mother.
The royal court revealed on Tuesday that the honeymoon baby is expected in March, just 12 weeks after the couple's lavish wedding ceremony.
A statement was made on the palace's official website, which reads, "Princess Madeleine and Mr. Christopher O'Neill are delighted to announce that The Princess is expecting their first child."
"No changes to the schedule of The Princess's engagements and work for Childhood are planned during the fall of 2013."
Congratulations to the happy couple, who will soon become first-time parents.
