The Today Show's Jenna Wolfe gives birth
The Today Show's Jenna Wolfe is officially a mom! She gave birth to her first daughter on Wednesday.
And baby makes three! Congratulations go out to the Today Show's Jenna Wolfe, who gave birth to her first daughter on Wednesday. She and her girlfriend, NBC News correspondent Stephanie Gosk, went public with not only their relationship, but also their pregnancy news back in March.
Baby Harper Estelle Wolfeld Gosk weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces at birth. She came into the world just hours after Wolfe posted her final blog on Today.com before her maternity leave.
The reporter wrote, "The next time you hear from me in this space, we'll have a little bundle of wonder to introduce you to. Somehow between now and then, I'll go to the hospital, endure the IV, do a bunch of waiting, contracting, pushing, sweating, some cursing, crying and eventually, falling ... as in, falling madly and unconditionally in love with this baby girl."
Little did Wolfe know she was shortly on her way to the hospital.
The couple came forward with their baby news when the mother-to-be was five months along in her pregnancy.
She explained to People why the time was right for her to come out publicly, "I didn’t want to bring my daughter into a world where I’m not comfortable telling everyone who I am and who her mother is."
Gosk shared the first photo of their new baby girl on Twitter on Wednesday evening.
Wolfe will continue to write her mommy blog periodically for Today.com. She is expected to return to the morning show after her maternity leave.
