Katy Perry on John Mayer: We're "collaborating"
It sounds like John Mayer and Katy Perry are definitely back together.
Still wondering if Katy Perry and John Mayer are officially "back on"? Perry pretty much confirmed that they are at the premiere of The Smurfs 2.
Extra correspondent Ben Lyons caught up with the singer and asked her if she plans on collaborating with Mayer on her upcoming album.
"We’re doing a lot of collaborating," she shot back.
Wink wink, nudge nudge.
The pair has been on-again, off-again for months.
"I was madly in love with him. I still am madly in love with him," she recently told Vogue, adding, "All I can say about that relationship is that he's got a beautiful mind. Beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why I am attracted to these broken birds."
All seems to be OK right now — and Mayer even dedicated his song "A Face to Call Home" during a recent concert at Milwaukee's Marcus Amphitheater.
"[She took the time] to continue to get to know me and love me," he told Rolling Stone recently.
Sorry, John: You're not the only collaboration in Perry's life. The "Part of Me" singer also admitted during The Smurfs 2 premiere that she sang background vocals on another pop star's single.
"Me and Bonnie [McKee] secretly did some background vocals on that song," Perry said of Britney Spears' new single "Ooh La La," included on the soundtrack for The Smurfs 2. "So maybe listen for our voices."
The superstar duo finally met for the first time at the animated movie's premiere.
"So great to see you Smurfette @katyperry! Can't wait for our Vegas date… " Spears tweeted afterward.
Now that is one collaboration we really can't wait to see!
