Jennifer Aniston let go of her ultra-strict diet once, and it did not end well.
Known for her killer yoga body, it’s obvious that Jennifer Aniston isn’t exactly in the habit of chowing down on fast food. In fact, some of the diets she is rumored to have been on in the past include the Tracy Anderson baby food diet. So, while it’s a surprise that the actress actually let any food product from McDonald’s pass her lips, it’s definitely not a surprise that it didn’t end well.
Aniston confessed her diet slip to New York Magazine, explaining that she was on a road trip with fiancé Justin Theroux and had no choice.
“I’ll never forget when Justin and I were on a road trip and we were so hungry,” Aniston said. “The only thing around was McDonald’s. I think I ordered a Big Mac. Wow, my body did not react well to that!”
“It was like putting gasoline in a purified system. I am always trying to eat organic and natural foods, so that just made my stomach turn and made me feel terrible. And I think what you put in your body, as well as stress, is reflected in the quality of your skin.”
Thankfully her perfect bod has recovered from her fast food nightmare, and she has some advice on how you can look as amazing as she does in your 40’s.
“I can never stress enough to my friends that they must do as I do… hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Drink lots of water, get enough sleep, exercise and eat a clean healthy diet, whenever possible.”
As far as her beautiful glowing skin goes, you can find her secret at your local drug store. “The skin care rule I stand by is simply cleanse, tone and moisturize. I also try to exfoliate pretty regularly,” she explained. “A while back I was doing a movie in the summer heat. Long days with a face full of makeup made my skin react badly. My makeup artist on set did a great thing, she gave me a tube of Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Scrub to use every night. And I’ve been using it ever since.”
So there you go: Skip the McDonald’s and drink your water.
