Arctic Monkeys front man Alex Turner wants to kiss you. Let him, won't you?

I remember when I heard that some band called Arctic Monkeys were the musical guests on Saturday Night Live in 2006. I think my reaction was something along the lines of, “Who?”

And then we were all introduced to the lads from England and their U.K. indie chart-topping hit “I Bet You Look Good On the Dance Floor.”

With his English accent and his fast-paced not-singing singing, Arctic Monkeys front man Alex Turner brought a British punk sensibility back into mainstream indie music.

Since then, Arctic Monkeys have been touring and releasing albums, all while constantly changing their style.

Oh, and they also played at a little thing called the London Olympics opening ceremony.

Well, Arctic Monkeys are back and just released a new song with a strange animated video.

“Do I Wanna Know?” is pretty much Alex Turner’s way of seducing every single female listener (and probably a few males) out there.

The song takes you back to your college days (or last night, for some of us) where the party is winding down, there are bottles everywhere and smoke hangs in the air.

Set to a big drum beat and a fuzzy guitar riff, Turner sneers, "I'm sorry to interrupt, it's just that I'm constantly on the cusp of trying to kiss you. I just don't know if you feel the same as I do."

In an almost boozy slur, Turner sings, “The nights are mainly made for saying things that you can’t say tomorrow day.”

While it’s not the frenetic pace of “Dance Floor,” “Do I Wanna Know?” is a great single from Arctic Monkeys and hopefully a glimmer of what’s to come on the album they're planning to release sometime later this year.

The sexy single and the (possibly NSFW cartoon) video are available now on iTunes. Check it out below.
