Glee's Jane Lynch splits from wife after just three years
Happily ever after is not to be for Jane Lynch, as the actress announces her marriage is over.
Jane Lynch is ending her short marriage after just three years, the Glee star has announced.
The actress broke the news in a statement to People magazine. "Lara and I have decided to end our marriage. This has been a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another. We ask for privacy as we deal with this family matter," she said.
Lynch, 52, and Embry, 44, met in 2009 in San Francisco. They wed on Memorial Day 2010 in a small ceremony in Massachusetts attended by just 19 guests, including Embry's daughter Haden.
"My greatest pleasure is Haden, my stepdaughter," Lynch told People last March. "I am surprised how much love you feel and how you would do anything for your children."
Lynch recently admitted that the couple may have bitten off more than they could chew in their relationship. “We’ve taken on everything in our first year of marriage," she told Us Weekly in 2012. "Moving. I gained a daughter. We renovated a house — and writing a book. I mean, talk about learning about your wife!"
Lynch is currently keeping herself busy with a role as Miss Hannigan in Annie: The Musical on Broadway and performed at last night's Tony Awards, where she walked the red carpet solo.
