Mint-colored maternity jeans styled three ways
If you're anything like me, you're looking forward to shedding your winter coat and welcoming lighter colors and fabrics for spring. There's still quite a chill in the air, but pretty pastels are a great way to begin easing into the season.
I adore these mint green denim crop pants from my Target collection. Colored jeans can seem a bit daunting at first — especially on a growing pregnancy figure — but I promise this is a trend you should try. The stretch waistband makes them super comfortable and they're also surprisingly versatile! I'll show you how to take these pants from brunching with friends to the office to a spring getaway with the hubby.
Brunch with the girls
Double-Layer Pocket Tee (Vince, $79)
In your first trimester, you can still get a lot of mileage out of items already in your closet. Loose-fitting tops with a bit of stretch like this one will accommodate a budding baby bump, and the lightweight material is perfect for a dewy spring morning.
Maise Colorblock Satchel (Saks Fifth Avenue, $468)
The great thing about accessories is that they'll fit at any stage of your pregnancy. So, have fun with them and show off your mixing-and-matching skills with a classic satchel in a fresh, unexpected color.
Lurex Infinity Scarf (Mossimo Supply Co., $15)
Complete the look with a bright scarf that draws attention up to your glowing face.
Editor's pick: Yellow dot tote bag (Target, $33)
At the office
Jordyn B Blazer (Joie, $298)
If you work in a creative environment, show off your sense of style by pairing the mint green pants with a whimsical-yet-polished polka-dotted blazer. Just make sure the print isn't too big — you don't want the dots to overpower you!
Maternity Black Short-Sleeve Lace Top (Target, $20)
You can't go wrong with a simple black top. It works with nearly any outfit and has a slimming effect.
Vivian Open Toe Wedge Sandals (ShopBop, $195)
For a final touch, dress up the pants with a pair of patent leather wedges (much sturdier than stilettos but just as stylish).
Editor's pick: Patent pumps (Chinese Laundry, $35)
Beonica Top (DVF, $198)
A flowy top with a sheen finish brings a refined easiness to your vacation look. I love the combination of navy and pale green!
Vince Camuto Gem Bracelet (Nordstrom, $58)
Complement the cool hues of the outfit with a bright, contrasting accessory. This chunky coral bracelet does the trick!
Falk Thong Sandal (Target, $20)
For a casual-chic finish, add a pair of flats with a modern design element like a bold print, interesting hardware or a peek-a-boo sliver of neon.
