Friday's Fashion Obsessions: Stacy Keibler and Jessica Alba
Stacy Keibler and Jessica Alba's beautiful celebrity styles made us do a double take this week! We're telling you why in this week's installment of Friday’s Fashion Obsessions.
Wow. I don't usually pay much attention to Stacy Keibler, but I couldn't keep my eyes off her this week when she showed to up VH1's Divas concert rocking this oh-so-sexy ensemble. This, my friends, is how you do a revealing pantsuit. Stacy's cleavage-grazing navy blazer could have taken a disastrous turn had she chosen to pair it with a revealing bottom, but instead, she cinched it with a nip slip-saving belt and total coverage pants.
Speaking of those pants... aren't they fab? At first glance I thought they were just leather; however upon closer inspection, I realized that they are partial leather, partial navy and that they totally make a perfect set when combined with the blazer.
The final verdict? If you've got it, flaunt it — in a respectable way, of course! Stacy created a magical rocker moment on the red carpet here and it was only amplified with her simply glowing makeup and sexy beachy waves. Am I the only jealous gal here?
Pretty in pink, Miss Jessica! The actress dazzled in this pink Dior dress at the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards nominations last week. There are many reasons this look works, the first being the vibrant color. This shows all you naysayers that a gal can (and should!) wear hot pink in the cold months! Forget the drab black and navy looks, girls, there's no reason you can't light up a room in a bold hue this winter — just avoid any blatantly summery neon shades.
Another reason I'm loving the ensemble? The subtle peplum detail! This is a nice example of how to work a different shape of a peplum because as you'll see if you zoom on in, it's not a typical one. One last thought: Since she was rocking such a statement hue, Jess was wise to keep her shoes neutral and her hair beachy and breezy.
The final verdict? If I had Jess' disposable income, I would most definitely be heading to my nearest luxe department store to stock up on this adorable number!
