How to get the perfect summer makeup for blondes
As a blonde, you have that natural sunny look -- but find out how to bring it out even more with these summer makeup how-to steps for blondes. A John Frieda style expert tells blondes how to achieve the perfect summer look with a few makeup tips.
Step 1: Self-tanner
Tanned skin complements blonde hair very well. Using a liquid self-tanner regularly will brighten up your face and give you a natural glow. The self-tanner can be applied using your hands or a brush. When using a brush, apply a light spray of water over the self-tanner before usage. This will allow the self-tanner to go on more evenly and to be less sticky on your face.
Step 2: Use blush
Blush will help to lighten up the self-tanner a bit so it’s not too overpowering. Glowing peaches and pinks are the best to use because they will not clash when used together. Remember to apply the blush according to your face shape and/or along your cheekbones.
Step 3: Focus on eyes
Shimmery neutral eye shadows, such as light browns and beiges, are best for showcasing your blonde locks. Use pearl tones and peach shades on your brow bone to add a little highlight. Add volume to your eyelashes with some mascara. Keep your look fresh and neutral by skipping out on the eyeliner.
Step 4: Full pout
Save the lips for last when applying your makeup. A light pink lip gloss will give you that extra pop. Using a lip gloss will also give you a shimmery, fun summer look. To make your lip gloss last longer throughout the day, apply lipstick first, and then lip gloss. By keeping the shades of lipstick and lip gloss the same, you will avoid mixing colors and will get a natural look for summer.
