Mondo won last night’s Project Runway All Stars finale! Did you love his collection just as much as I did? I take my design from his collection off the screen and into your closet so you can steal the look.
Mondo’s killer ’60s mod collection, complete with wicked graphics, tight dresses and flowy pants stole my heart. Every piece in his cohesive collection was completely wearable. In fact, every woman needs a version of this white and black dress in her closet this spring.
Designers like Carolina Herrera and Altuzarra proved that white and black not only belonged in fall, but also held strong in spring as well. We can now add Mondo to our list of on-trend designers with this stunning creation.
The best part about black and white? Everyone can pull the colors off! You just have to pay special attention to fit. Mondo’s dress is very form fitting, and will look great if you are smaller in the torso. However, if you do have somewhat of a stomach (like many of us do), make sure you find a dress that does have some movement right above your waist to mid-thigh. You can still pick a dress that is tight on top and through the arms, but try a nice A-line dress to hide any problem areas.
My overall suggestion? If you are going to rock a neutral dress, make sure you spice the outfit up with colored accessories to really make yourself pop and stand out in any crowd. There’s nothing better than a red clutch to make that powerful statement.
