Crushing on fall colors
Orange and yellow and red, oh my! Just thinking about all those leaves changing from green to gorgeous shades of ocher, rich amber and sumptuous sienna has inspired the style sleuths at SheKnows to add this rich series of shades to our wardrobe. Take a look at some of the pretty pieces we found in our new favorite fall hues.
Cross body bag
The burnt orange hue of this small cross body bag (Top Shop, $56) made us think immediately of autumn, and this pretty purse will make a stylish addition to your collection of cooler weather accessories. We love the rich color and versatility of this bag, which would look equally at home at the office or out on the town.
We dare you not to swoon when you first see these pretty dark yellow pumps with menswear-inspired detailing (Anthropologie, $148). We love the slightly rounded toe and rich hue of these sophisticated heels. Pair with a gray pencil skirt to kick the classic look up a notch or let them elevate everyday jeans and a t-shirt with their fall color flair.
Stay cozy and look stylish in this cashmere ribbed sweater (J. Crew, $248) in a gorgeous shade of pumpkin orange. Either on its own or over a collared shirt, this chunky knit crew neck sweater is perfect for staying warm on those cool fall days to come. We suggest keeping things simple and pairing yours with distressed denim and riding boots for a casually chic look.
We love the simple sophistication of this fitted wool jacket in burnt sienna (Piperlime.com, $78). The fall-inspired hue had us hooked at first glance but the polished design and contemporary cut helped seal the deal. Perfect for early fall days when the temperature has started to dip but there's still some warmth in the air.
Whether tucked into a pair of jeans or a fitted skirt, this silk blouse in a dark, rusty red (Revolve Clothing, $208) will add warmth and elegance to any outfit. We love the simplicity of the design and the fact you can pair this rich and ravishing shade with almost anything.
While we love our pencil skirts in sensible shades of charcoal gray or basic black, sometimes it's fun to spice things up with an unexpected hue. This high waisted, pocketed style in an elegant shade of amber (Mod Cloth, $70) features a smattering of tiny salt-and-pepper polka dots for added charm. Pair this look with a pretty button down blouse and platform pumps.
It's especially eye-catching when leaves turn a soft shade of yellow, a hue we found in the semi-precious stone at the heart of these gorgeous gold plated earrings (Charm & Chain, $70). Not only does the color remind us of the season to come, but the shape itself is reminiscent of a falling leaf.
