Beauty Finds: Peter Thomas Roth Instant Firmx Eye
You've been on a bender...ahem...had a few too many. Your allergies are driving you up a wall. You stayed up way too late with the kids and now you have serious bags under your eyes. We have a temporary but pretty darn fantastic (and fast) fix.
Peter Thomas Roth Instant Firmx Eye
Puffy eyes age you and so does whatever you did to get them. We totally understand. Spoons in the fridge do take away some of it. So does an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen. But the first takes pre-planning and the second might not be an option for you. Well, we've got something that helps. Peter Thomas Roth (one of our favorite skin care lines) has come up with Instant Firmx Eye, which temporarily tightens the eye area.
Now, you may have seen these before. You might have tried one and had dry eyes with white flakes. (People used to use egg whites for this back in the day. They stretched as they dried.) Well, this one won't do that. It actually dimishes the look of crow's feet (darn crows really should stay off my face), fine lines and even helps with deep wrinkles.
I know, I know. It sounds too good to be true. And honestly, it's not going to take any of them away permanently. But wow, the temporary fix is incredible! I use it myself, and after the week I had, there was a full set of luggage under there. I just got back from a trip to New Orleans. Let's just say I didn't skimp on experiencing the city and I didn't get more than 4 hours of sleep each night. I used this every morning after waking up puffy and the product was more effective than I expected!
Here's the deal though. You only need a tiny bit. Too much will give you that flaky thing. You pat it around the eye area. Don't rub. Your grandmother was right. Remain expressionless for a few minutes until it dries. If there is any left (because you didn't read instruction number one), brush it away with a damp cloth. Yes, you can put makeup and eye cream over it and no, the area won't look dry because of it.
I'm over the moon about this one since I've never found anything that works this well. It's going in my makeup kit right this very second.
Peter Thomas Roth Instant Firmx Eye retails for $32 and is available at peterthomasroth.com.
