Blend in, stand out and pack light this summer
When traveling back to Miami (where I grew up) from Stockholm (where I currently live) it's so hard to pack a million brushes. I love to bring a dozen cotton swabs in a zip-top bag so I can forgo packing a blending brush and save some space.
They are the travel space savers. Q-tips cotton swabs are amazing when used dry for blending. They double as the best blending-brush tools. In the summer mixing bronzer and blush seamlessly on the cheeks is a must, especially when traveling to Miami with remnants of my pale winter complexion. Here's how you do it.
- Gently dip the tip of a cotton swab in your powder-based bronzer and drag it along the top of your upper cheekbone toward the ridge of your nose.
- Do the same thing on the opposite cheek with the other end of the cotton swab and then down the ridge of your nose.
- Next, take a clean cotton swab, dip it into a soft-pink blush and use it to gently blend everything upwards. Do this on the opposite side of your face and along the ride of your nose.
