Miranda Kerr's big secret to avoiding stretch marks
Good news: Miranda Kerr reveals how she avoided stretch marks during her pregnancy. Better news: It's really easy... and inexpensive!
Miranda Kerr's body bounced right back after she gave birth to her son, Flynn. Somehow we think her genetics played into her ability to regain her model figure, but she also had the help of an all-natural remedy.
"Actually, I used the rosehip oil throughout my entire pregnancy and I don't have a single stretch mark — I had a ten-pound baby!" she tells Into The Gloss. "It's really nourishing and full of antioxidants and essential fatty acids."
We've also heard Bio-Oil works — thanks to new mom Kim Kardashian.
"It prevents wrinkles around my eyes and stretch marks over my body," Kardashian wrote a couple of years ago in OK! magazine.
Kerr, on the other hand, is all about the natural, chemical-free route — and she embraces natural remedies whenever possible.
"Hair-wise, I love using coconut oil as a treatment and apple cider vinegar for shininess — you put on a little bit in the shower as a rinse, and then wash it out," she tells the website. "It stinks a little, but then you use conditioner and the smell goes away."
The Australian native doesn't go as far as using crushed berries for her makeup, but she does like to keep her makeup simple.
"With modeling, it's fun to see the way people can experiment on my face," she says. "But when I do it myself, I keep it simple. I just throw on a lip color and my sunglasses, so I don't have to worry about anything else."
Among her favorite lipsticks?
"RMS Lip2Cheek in Sacred is really good because you can use it on the lips and cheeks. Smile is good, too; it's a little more pink. I find a red lip just lifts my face, like Le Métier de Beauté Colour Core Moisture Stain Lipstick in China Beach."
