Friday's Fashion Obsessions: AnnaSophia Robb and Julianne Hough
AnnaSophia Robb and Julianne Hough's beautiful celebrity styles made us do a double take this week! We're telling you why in this week's installment of Friday's Fashion Obsessions.
Well hello Carrie Bradshaw part 2. AnnaSophia Robb is seriously giving Sarah Jessica Parker a run for her money with her fun, evolving style. The star of The Carrie Diaries rocked this pretty floral frock to the Los Angeles premiere of The Way, Way Back this week and made me smile.
A lot of times, floral dresses are set against a bright color, but the gray shade of this one is quite refreshing. Something equally appealing? That hair. AnnaSophia pulled her locks back into an intricate braided updo we're totally crushing on. To finish off the look, ASR added a gold metallic clutch and strappy black sandals for a flirty ensemble.
The final verdict? We're big fans of florals here at SheKnows and appreciate when they're done right. If you're dying to rock this trendy look but are afraid of looking like you just slept in a field of flowers, take a cue from ASR and look for muted tones that'll provide a subtle backdrop to your print.
Ryan Seacrest, who? Julianne Hough showed no signs of wallowing in her recent breakup when she showed up to the Svedka Splash of Summer Party looking hot hot hot. This look combines a few of my favorite things — pastels, peplums and pretty silhouettes — so it's no surprise that Miss Hough is topping our best dressed list this week.
Let's start with the pretty pastel color of this dress. Ladies, this is how you complement your summer tan! Another way to look summery? Strategically placed cutouts and sleek lines. These are all well and good, but it's the peplum that really drew me in to this beautiful dress! It's an unexpected addition, just like her metallic ankle strap pumps.
The final verdict? Julianne is looking better than ever. I love how she paired this look with textured hair, soft makeup and attitude to match. Say hello to your new going out ensemble, girls!
