Every day, more people are discovering the innumerable benefits of fresh fruit and vegetable smoothies. Did you know that smoothies are one of the healthiest drinks around, even preferable to juice? While juicing is also a great way to get in all your daily fruit and veggie servings, smoothies retain even more nutrition because they don't eliminate the essential dietary fiber. Smoothies are abundant in vitamins, minerals and the enzymes responsible for the digestion and absorption of food into the body. When you blend fresh fruits and vegetables together, the plant cells break down and improve the body's ability to absorb these vital nutrients.

I drink smoothies seeravl days a week. Use fruit, ice will give it some body, making it more shake like and more filling. I usually add protein powder but don't know if you can as a vegan. I also add a tablespoon of olive oil and some fiber(the kind that comes in a shaker to add to foods). This gives a good balance of carbs, protein, and healthy fats. The fiber will help keep you feeling full longer. The protein also makes you feel full. I use whey protein which is a animal product but I believe they do have soy protein powder. Also a use fruit juice instead of milk but that is just a preference.
