No longer are women in their 50s and beyond doomed to a short "old lady" haircut.

Go blonde

If most of your hair is gray now, you don't have to embrace the silver. Instead, go blonde. It's much easier to hide your grays in blonde than in dark hair. A short hairstyle with a textured top can take years off your look.

Don't be afraid of length

You may have heard that women over 50 shouldn't wear their hair long, but that's simply not true. If you love medium or long hair, go for it. Keep in mind that bangs can hide a wrinkled forehead, and shorter layers around the face can soften your features and disguise frown lines and crow's feet.
