Families Collide: Meet Rachel

SheKnows: When did you know it was time to bring Brian home to meet the parents?
Rachel: My parents wanted to meet him, and I kept telling them that it was too soon. My birthday is coming up, so I thought I should invite him to my birthday celebration with my family at my parents' house. I have a birthday dinner there every year.

SheKnows: What is Brian's most endearing quality?
Rachel: He enjoys the simple things in life. He is just easygoing and happy! He makes you feel comfortable to just be yourself.

SheKnows: Are you nervous about the meeting?
Rachel: I am a little nervous, but not because I think they won't like each other. I know they will. It is just a little nerve-wracking having the guy you are dating meet your family.

SheKnows: How do you think your parents will react to Brian? How have they responded to other boyfriends you've introduced them to in the past?
Rachel: I think they will be friendly and make him feel at ease. My parents have always been nice to the guys I have dated in the past and have liked them.

SheKnows: Have you prepped for parents for the meeting -- including banning specific embarrassing stories from your past?
Rachel: Not really, because I know my parents wouldn't tell anything to embarrass me. They might tell funny stories from my past, but I don't think they will embarrass me.
