Lorraine Is "Battered And Bruised"
Morning TV presenter Lorraine Kelly missed her show Lorraine today as she was in hospital following a horse-riding accident. Lorraine fell from the horse during a jump while practising for a charity event.
Fans of Lorraine Kelly's morning show Lorraine were concerned for the presenter today as stand-in host Helen Fospero revealed that the Scottish star was in hospital. Lorraine was practicing a new jump for a forthcoming charity event when she fell from the horse, receiving a deep gash, which led to serious blood loss. Luckily Kelly was able to get to hospital quickly to have her injuries looked at, and took to Twitter to reassure her followers that she was "a bit bruised and battered but fine." Lorraine seemed more upset about not being able to complete the charity show jumping challenge for which she had been practising when she fell. Lorraine Kelly is one of ITV's most popular presenters and has held her week day morning slot, which covers entertainment news and lifestyle features, since the 1990s. The show was known as LK Today and was part of the show GMTV, until it became a separate programme under the new name of Lorraine in 2010. Lorraine will have to miss a few more episodes of her daily TV show, as she has to remain in hospital for "a couple of days." However, the 52-year-old star is likely to return to our screens next week, as she said that she will take four weeks to heal competely but plans to return to work much sooner than that. Lorraine Kelly'll just have to avoid any features that involve strenuous activity for a few weeks! Image courtesy of Lia Toby/WENN.com. more celebrity health newsMiley Cyrus breaks her butt
