Victoria Is Oscars Designer Of Choice

Move over Versace and Valentino if you're attending the Oscars this year. Victoria Beckham is the designer whose dress you need to be seen in! Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz and Charlize Theron have reportedly all requested gowns from Victoria's fashion line for the ceremony this month.

It's very common for celebrities to put their name to a fashion line, but most stars will see their designs in high street stores such as Topshop or Next. Victoria Beckham has taken her flair for fashion one step further, launching her own high-fashion brand, Victoria by Victoria Beckham, which has its own catwalk shows at London and New York Fashion Week, and is now the top choice for major stars' award show gowns.

Cameron Diaz, Charlize Theron and Gwyneth Paltrow are among the A-listers who have asked Victoria to dress them for the Academy Awards. Beckham has reportedly been inundated with requests from big name stars. The awards ceremony, better known as the Oscars, takes place on Sunday, Feb. 26, so Victoria Beckham and her team have just a few weeks to make sure their designs will wow on the red carpet. As Victoria is a relatively new designer, this is her chance to show she can compete with more established names in the fashion world.

The Oscars won't be the first time that a top celebrity has been seen wearing Beckham's designs. Her dresses are popular with actresses such as Drew Barrymore and Blake Lively, and one of her more casual designs made an appearance on Michelle Williams at an Oscar nominees lunch earlier this week. Will Michelle be asking Beckham for another outfit for the ceremony itself?
