Katie Wants An Implant Ban For Teenagers

Katie Price is usually more at home on page 3 or reality TV, but last night she paid a visit to the current affairs debate show Newsnight. The glamour model formerly known as Jordan took the opportunity to give her opinions about breast implants, which she says should be allowed only for women over the age of 21.

If there's anyone who knows about boob jobs, it's Katie Price. Under the name of Jordan she became the U.K.'s best-known glamour model, and she was most famous for her extensive plastic surgery. Katie had her first boob job at the age of 18 and at their largest her breasts were size 32FF. She later had them downsized to a 32C when Peter Andre, her husband at the time, wanted her to look more natural.

Price has said in the past that she regrets having surgery, and on last night's Newsnight she stated her belief that she shouldn't have been allowed to have breast implants when she was 18 as it is too young to make that decision. Katie told presenter Jeremy Paxman that she thinks there should be an age limit on the procedure of 21.

Katie Price follows a number of celebrities who have appeared on Newsnight to air their concerns about a subject close to their hearts. For example, comedian Russell Brand went on the show to talk about the cult of celebrity and the Sachsgate scandal he was involved in, while actor Steve Coogan visited Newsnight to discuss phone hacking, which he was a victim of. Katie Price, however, is certainly the first glamour model to appear on the show.
