The official definition of a peplum is a short, flared, gathered or pleated strip of fabric attached at the waist of a woman's jacket, dress, skirt or blouse. This extra fabric really emphasizes the waist, hips and female shape. Peplums have re-emerged yet again on the runways and red carpets, which is why it’s my pick as favorite trend of the week!
