My family was diagnosed with the BRCA1 Gene. My mother at 54 had breast cancer in 1985,and 1996 with mysectomies, and was a survivor, my sister had breast cancer 3 & 1/2 years ago,and has been clear since with a lumpectomy, my father had Mer Kell Cell Cancer that comes from the BRCA1 Gene in 1989 that is hard to treat, and lived nine months. I am a post-op transual woman who takes female hormones, and increases my risk of breast cancer greater, and I also had breast implants that help hide breast cancer. All women need mammograms, and some need MRI's but must be approve by Insurance. When you have the BRCA1 breast cancer gene they recomend girls have mammograms starting in their early 20's because it hits early with the BRCA1 Gene.
