Though survival rates are improving due to early detection and increased awareness, an estimated 39,000 women will die from breast cancer in 2012. While many women choose the traditional pink ribbon to symbolize their support and promote awareness, others get tattoos in memory of a loved one who has lost her battle.

This site inspired me, my mother is 84 stage 5 breast cancer. Mom said she never thought she would go out this way!! To honor my mom I got my very first pink ribbon tatoo on the inside of my right wrist... Every day I will see this tatoo, and every day I will think of my mom.

This is indeed a powerful way to show your support for the cause. However, if you're not ready to make the permanent commitment of a tattoo, you can use temporary breast cancer awareness tattoos and still show your support, they're great for fundraising and special events. I found some you can download for free here... http://breastcancerbraceletshq/free-breast-cancer-tattoos
