The great flavors of Zucchini and Squash Saute are enhanced with bacon, everyone's favorite.
Ingredients
- 4-6 zucchini, sliced
- 4-6 yellow squash, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 6 bacon strips
- salt and pepper to taste
- garlic powder to taste
Directions
- Cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove from pan and drain on paper towel. Saute onion in bacon drippings. Drain off most of the fat.
- Add zucchini, squash and 2 tablespoons water. Cover and steam until tender on low heat. Add crumbled bacon just before serving. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
