Hot Dog lovers rejoice!  Wiener Salad Bake is fun for a weekend lunch or anytime there is a craving for hot dogs.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 6 medium potatoes, cooked and cubed
  • 1 box frozen cut green beans, cooked
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 10 hot dogs cut in 1 inch pieces
  • bread crumbs
  • extra butter

Directions

  1. Melt butter; remove from heat. Add flour, salt, mustard and pepper. Slowly add milk and cook over low heat until mixture thickens. Remove from heat, add mayonnaise. Fold in potatoes, green beans, onion and hot dogs.
  2. Pour into a greased 2 quart casserole. Cover top with bread crumbs. Dot with butter. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
