This unique blend of ingredients combines fresh ginger and dried apricots with bourbon and apricot brandy to create a smooth, sweet and fiery cocktail in one.
- 1 1-inch knob fresh ginger, peeled and cut into pieces
- 2 dried apricots
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 4 ounces bourbon
- 2 ounces apricot brandy
- 4 ounces water
- Place the apricots, ginger and the sugar into a cocktail shaker and muddle well to combine.
- Evenly divide the mixture between 2 rocks cocktail glasses and then pour in 2 ounces of bourbon and 1 ounce of apricot brandy into each glass. Stir the mixture to combine and then fill with ice.
- Top each cocktail with 2 ounces of water, stir well to combine and then serve immediately.
