This warm and hearty breakfast is full of soluble fiber and will keep your energy levels up until lunch.


  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped pear
  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseeds
  • 1 dash cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons honey


  1. Bring the water to boil in a medium saucepan, and then add the oats and the chopped pear.
  2. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for the time suggested on package directions.
  3. Transfer to a bowl and sprinkle with the flaxseed and cinnamon, and then drizzle with the honey.
