The cranberry added to this warm apple cider drink gives it a refreshing and tart twist of flavor.
Ingredients
- 3/4 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1 medium navel orange
- 1 medium lemon
- 1 quart apple cider
- 3 cups cranberry juice
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
Directions
- Cut the orange and the lemon into slices.
- Place the slices in a large saucepan along with the cloves, apple cider, cranberry juice, brown sugar and cinnamon sticks.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce heat to medium-low; simmer for 30 minutes.
- Pour the cider through a sieve and into mugs. Serve immediately.
