Warm Cranberry and Apple Cider

The cranberry added to this warm apple cider drink gives it a refreshing and tart twist of flavor.


  • 3/4 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1 medium navel orange
  • 1 medium lemon
  • 1 quart apple cider
  • 3 cups cranberry juice
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks


  1. Cut the orange and the lemon into slices.
  2. Place the slices in a large saucepan along with the cloves, apple cider, cranberry juice, brown sugar and cinnamon sticks.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce heat to medium-low; simmer for 30 minutes.
  4. Pour the cider through a sieve and into mugs. Serve immediately.
