A walk on the wild side with this great stew which can be served over rice or noodles.
Ingredients
- 3 pounds venison
- 1/2 pound bacon
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 large onions chopped
- 5 cloves garlic crushed
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 1/4 cup beer
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms
Directions
- Cut venison into 1/2 inch cubes and set aside.
- Cut bacon and cook in a skillet.
- Brown venison in bacon drippings and olive oil.
- Add remaining ingredients, except mushrooms.
- Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
- Add mushrooms and cook 20 minutes longer.
