Vegetable Stir Fry is a nice side dish for an intimate dinner for two.

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces broccoli
  • 3 ounces bok choy
  • 1 ounce mushrooms
  • 1 ounce water chestnuts
  • 2 ounces pea pods
  • 2 ounces celery, chopped
  • 1 ounce carrots, shredded
  • Gravy: 3/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce

Directions

  1. Cut up vegetables and put in 3 quarts boiling water. Cover and cook for five minutes. Drain.
  2. For Gravy: Bring 3/4 cup water to boil; add remaining ingredients. Stir constantly until thickened. Add vegetables to gravy. Serve.
