Tender Veal Piccata is flavored with white wine and lemon.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound veal cutlets
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • flour
  • vegetable oil
  • 8 ounces broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 2 teaspoons parsley
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • lemon slices for garnishing

Directions

  1. Dip veal into egg then into flour to coat. Brown in oil in skillet; remove and keep warm. Add broth to pan juices, stirring to blend in meat particles.
  2. Combine cornstarch and wine and stir into broth with remaining ingredients. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Pour over veal and garnish with lemon slices.
