This elegant cocktail is a regular at Zig Zag in Seattle. It’s a sweet, bitter and complex blend of flavors that is sure to please and impress.


  • 1-1/2 ounces gin
  • 1-1/2 ounces sweet vermouth
  • 1/4 ounce Benedictine
  • 2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
  • Orange peel curl to garnish


  1. Place a martini glass into the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
  2. Place the gin, vermouth, Benedictine and bitters into a cocktail shaker and stir with a bar spoon for about 25 seconds until chilled.
  3. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass, garnish with the orange peel curl and serve immediately.
