Great summertime slaw, perfect for 4th of July celebrations!
- 1 medium head cabbage, grated
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 3/4 cup vinegar
- 1 teaspoon mustard seed
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, carrot and pepper.
- In a saucepan, bring the vinegar, mustard seed, sugar and celery seed to a boil. Boil for 1 minute, then allow to cool.
- Stir into cabbage mixture, serve chilled.
