Use a box grater or a food processor to cut the raw carrot and turnip into very thin strips for this fresh and crispy salad.
Ingredients
- 2 medium carrots, peeled
- 1 turnip, peeled
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1/8 cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce
- 1/4 cup cilantro leaves
- 1 teaspoon black sesame seeds
Directions
- Grate the carrot and turnip into extremely thin slices and then place into a salad bowl.
- In another bowl, combine the lime juice, vegetable oil, sesame oil, sugar, cayenne pepper and fish sauce by whisking together until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- Drizzle the dressing over the carrot mixture and toss to coat.
- Sprinkle the salad with the cilantro and the black sesame seeds to garnish.
