Classic Homemade Turkey Dressing is easy to make.


  • 1 loaf stale bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • liver and heart from fowl, sliced
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs


  1. Soak bread in water. Put onions, celery and butter in frying pan to brown. Add liver and heart and fry until brown. Squeeze water out of bread. Add eggs to bread and mix thoroughly. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Add onion mixture, liver and heart to bread and mix well. Stuff cavity of turkey. Any remaining stuffing can be cooked separately in a greased casserole dish.
