Saucy beef and bean side dish.
Ingredients
- 2 cups dry pinto beans
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 8 cups water
- 1-1/2 pounds ground beef, browned and drained
Directions
- Cover the beans with water in a large pot. Bring to a boil, turn off heat and let set for 1 hour. Drain.
- Combine with the remaining ingredients in a greased slow cooker. Cook covered for 8-9 hours on low, or until the beans are tender.
