Thanksgiving Day is the perfect time to toast a bountiful meal and a healthy and happy family. Serve this flavorful sparkler with a heartwarming ‘cheers’ to the big day.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 lemon wedge
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
- 5 cubes light brown sugar
- 5 ounces brandy
- 1 bottle chilled sparkling wine
- Fresh nutmeg
Directions
- Place the brown sugar on a small plate and then rub a lemon wedge along the rim of 5 champagne glasses. Dip each glass rim into the prepared sugar to adhere.
- Place the cinnamon, cloves, allspice and ginger into a cocktail shaker, stir and then evenly divide between the prepared glasses.
- Drop 1 sugar cube into each glass along with 1 ounce of brandy. Stir the mixture to combine and then top each glass with the sparkling wine and some freshly grated nutmeg. Serve immediately.
