Sweet Cocktail Meatballs get their sweet flavor from blackberry wine and red currant jelly.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 package onion soup mix
- 1/4 cup fine cracker crumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 1, 10 ounce jar red currant jelly
- 1, 14 ounce bottle ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 cup blackberry wine
Directions
- Mix beef, onion soup mix, cracker crumb and egg. Make small meatballs and brown in oil.
- Melt jelly, ketchup and wine in a saucepan. Add meatballs and simmer 25 minutes.
