This swedish meatballs recipe goes great with pasta and will soon become your new favorite dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup onion, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
  • 4 teaspoons dry parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • GRAVY
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 cups beef stock
  • 2 cups low-fat sour cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. To make the meatballs, combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Form into 1" balls.
  3. In a large saucepan over medium high heat, brown meatballs in oil and set aside in large casserole dish.
  4. To make the gravy, whisk flour into browning oil from pan and cook until smooth. Add all remaining ingredients and continue to whisk until gravy thickens. Pour over meatballs in casserole and bake for 1 hour. Serve over buttered noodles.
