Superb Butterscotch Topping is perfect served over any flavor of ice cream and can be served hot or cold.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/3 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, water and butter. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring occasionally. Cook to soft ball stage. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Add milk and vanilla. Beat well. Serve warm or cold.
