This elegant cocktail is simple, delicious and impressive when served. You don’t need a very expensive champagne to make this taste good; the addition of sugar and bitters turn a good champagne into a great one.


  • 1 dash of angostura bitters
  • 1 sugar cube
  • Cold, dry champagne
  • Twist of lemon peel


  1. Put a champagne flute into the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
  2. Place the sugar cube into the prepared glass and then add the bitters.
  3. Slowly add the chilled champagne then garnish with the lemon peel twist. Serve immediately.
