This elegant cocktail is simple, delicious and impressive when served. You don’t need a very expensive champagne to make this taste good; the addition of sugar and bitters turn a good champagne into a great one.
- 1 dash of angostura bitters
- 1 sugar cube
- Cold, dry champagne
- Twist of lemon peel
- Put a champagne flute into the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
- Place the sugar cube into the prepared glass and then add the bitters.
- Slowly add the chilled champagne then garnish with the lemon peel twist. Serve immediately.
