A trifle is a dessert made of layers of thick cream, fruit and cake. Purchase a box of angel food cake mix and some cool whip and you have an instant and impressive looking dessert in a snap.

Ingredients

1 pound frozen strawberries
1/2 cup sugar
1 box angel food cake mix
16-ounce container Cool Whip
Mint and one whole strawberry for garnish

Directions

Make the cake according to instructions. Set aside to cool.
Make the cake according to instructions. Set aside to cool.
Tear some of the cake into pieces and line the bottom layer of a bowl or trifle dish. Follow this layer with a layer of Cool Whip and then a layer of strawberries. Repeat these layers, cake-Cool Whip-strawberries, until ingredients are used up.
End with the Cool Whip and garnish with one whole strawberry and the mint.
