Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup long grain rice
- 4 cups milk
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Cook rice in water for about 7 minutes or until water begins to evaporate.
- Add milk, butter, sugar and raisins. Bring to a boil. Then reduce to simmer and cook 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Add vanilla and beaten eggs. Stir quickly to incorporate eggs. Let cool.
