Stormy Mai-Tai Cocktail

This deep-red colored cocktail is made with an interesting base of Angostura Aromatic bitters, and then complimented with fresh lime juice, orgeat syrup, curaçao and light rum to make a unique and delicious blend.


  • 1-1/2 ounces Angostura Aromatic bitters
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 ounce orgeat syrup
  • 3/4 ounce curaçao
  • 1/2 ounce light rum
  • Mint sprig to garnish


  1. Place all of the ingredients, except for the rum and garnish, into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Vigorously shake the mixture for 35 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass filled with fresh, cracked ice.
  3. Float the rum on top of the drink and then garnish with the mint sprig; serve immediately.
