Mushrooms and bacon.
- 4 slices bacon, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup cooking sherry
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion (optional)
- Fry the bacon until crisped. Remove, reserving the drippings. Stir in the mushrooms and chopped onion. Fry for 5-10 minutes. Drain the fat. Stir in the wine and bacon and simmer for 3 minutes.
