Spicy green coriander chutney is a well known and famous chutney in North India. It can be stored refrigerated for a week.


  • 15 green chilies
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tbsp potato wafers, crushed
  • 2 pinch asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp jaggery
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 clove garlic


  1. Take a frying pan, heat oil in it and fry asafoetida in it. Keep aside.
  2. Take a grinder, add green chilies, coriander leaves, lemon juice, potato wafers, jaggery, salt, garlic and fried asafoetida in it.
  3. Grind until a smooth mixture is prepared.
  4. Store in a glass container and refrigerate.
  5. Serve with meals.
